7 ways cumin can benefit your health:

1. Cancer prevention:
Studies have shown that cumin captures detoxifying and chemo preventive properties that accelerate the secretion of detoxifying enzymes from glands. In one study, cumin was shown to protect laboratory animals from developing stomach or liver tumors. The cancer-protective effect may be due to the health benefits of cumin with its free radical hunting ability as well as the ability to increase the liver’s detoxification enzymes.
2. Anemia :
Cumin contains a high amount of iron which makes this small seed a surprising solution for anemia. Iron is the main formation of hemoglobin in red blood cells of the blood. Hemoglobin transfers oxygen to the cells of the body and when those cells are deficient, anemia occurs. The nutritional benefits of cumin can be added to the daily diet for people with anemia and those who want to avoid symptoms of fatigue, cognitive impairment, digestive problems and anxiety such as anemia.
3. Breastfeeding:
Since cumin is rich in iron, it is also very good for lactating mothers and pregnant women because they need iron more than others. Cumin also helps increase milk secretion in lactating women due to the presence of thymol. Thymol increases secretions from our glands, including secretions from milk, or mammary glands.
4. Respiratory disorders:
People suffering from respiratory diseases such as asthma and bronchitis can benefit greatly from cumin due to the presence of caffeine (stimulating agent), and from aromatic essential oils and disinfectants. It acts as an expatter, meaning that it relaxes the phlegm and mucus accumulated in the trachea, and makes it easier to remove them from the system by coughing and spitting.
a. Skin disorders:
5. Skin disorders:
Vitamin E is essential for good skin maintenance and prevention of symptoms of premature aging. The abundance of vitamin E in cumin makes spices a powerhouse in anti-aging. This keeps the skin young and bright, and the essential oils present in cumin have disinfectant and antifungal properties, which prevent any microbial and fungal infections from affecting the skin.
6. Digestion:
The health benefits of cumin include being extremely useful for digestive problems. The aroma of cumin comes from an aromatic organic compound called cumin aldehyde, which is the main component of its essential oil. This aroma activates our salivary glands in our mouth which facilitates primary digestion of food.
7. Immunity:
With large amounts of vitamins C and A, iron and essential oils, seed nutrition of cumin provides an immune booster in a variety of ways. As the most potent antioxidant in our body, vitamin C stimulates the activity and function of white blood cells.
