The Last Journey : From life to deathbed
Creation is a mystery and many saints, mahatmas and scholars came to this earth to understand this mystery. Through the knowledge disseminated by them, the society was exposed and the culture was also changing accordingly. Mystery is darkness when it is dispelled by light, then it is called knowledge. There are different levels of mystery and knowledge. Then where is the end of mystery and where is the end of knowledge? Death is an eternal truth in this gross world and we are all waiting for it. But we are certainly not free from its fear. What is the reason for this?
Saints, mahatmas and scholars have explained a lot about the soul. As Lord Krishna said in the Gita, just as a person changes his clothes, the soul leaves one body and assumes another body. The body is mortal but the soul is immortal and never dies. It is clear in one verse of the Gita M “Avajananti Ma Mudha Manushi Tanumashritam. Para Bhavamajananto Mam Bhutamaheshwaram” means those who are ignorant, they mock at My human body because they do not know My divine form, whereas He says that I am the operator of this creation.
Most of us can learn a lot from a man’s funeral. From the number of people attending a person’s funeral, we can guess what that person was like. A common thing is that many people participate in the funeral procession of a gentleman, but if we look at the sentiment rather than the numerical form, some of them are present only because of the fear of social humiliation. A proud, extremely selfish and inhuman person runs after money all his life, but in the end that money is meaningless to him. Because his human and social relations are not interesting. But this does not mean not working, not earning money, rather it is meant to be useful for the earned money. Every action we do is a service, none of us earns money by doing our own work, we earn money by serving others.
Death is not a matter of surprise. After birth, this time comes slowly, so what is there to be sad about? But many of us are sad about this. But instead of being sad about this, it is worthwhile to think about how to make the most of this precious life.
Ratan Tata is a wealthy businessman from India. His annual income is more than that of any small country. However, he spends more than half of his earnings on charity. However, he is always polite and hugs or sits on the ground and takes pictures with anyone who wants to get an autograph with him. He made his life meaningful, but some people are against it. You don’t have to be successful or join the list of the world’s richest people to make life worthwhile. A person from a middle class family who has saved some money and spends time happily with his family after completing his daily responsibilities, is always happy and content and does not talk bad about anyone, in fact, that person’s life can be considered meaningful.
